AION 2 Best PvE Build for Sorcerer and Gladiator (And What Changes in Dungeons)

Sorcerer burns from range, Gladiator holds the line in melee — here's the skill priority and stigma setup for both, including the one swap that only makes sense once you're in a dungeon.

The best AION 2 PvE build for Sorcerer and Gladiator isn't one fixed loadout — it's a core rotation that holds steady almost everywhere, plus a single stigma swap that only makes sense once you're actually in a dungeon. Below is the skill priority, stigmas, and stat order for both classes, and the specific reason that one swap matters.

Sorcerer: Hellfire-Centered Burst

The Sorcerer's PvE rotation revolves around one skill: Hellfire. Skill priority, in order, is Hellfire, Firestorm, Bittercold Wind, Blaze, Wish of Concentration, Flame Arrow, Flame Scattershot, then Winter's Shackles. Ice Chain, Frost, and Frost Burst are worth skipping long-term — they fall off as you level and crowd out skill points better spent elsewhere.

The actual rotation: open with Elemental Enhancement to buff, follow with Delayed Explosion, then a fully charged Hellfire — charging it matters, a rushed cast loses most of its value. While those are on cooldown, cycle Wish of Concentration, Bittercold Wind, Blaze, and Firestorm; these four can be macroed together since you'll use them in roughly the same window every time. Everything else fires the moment it's off cooldown.

Stigmas: Elemental Enhancement, Fire Wall, and Delayed Explosion are fixed picks. The fourth slot depends on what you're fighting — Cold Storm for general AoE, Steel Barrier if you're dying too often, Divine Burst when a fight has heavy Stagger damage available.

Stats, in priority order: Combat Speed, Attack Increase, Double Chance, Weapon Damage Boost, Skill Increase (on Hellfire and your other core skills), Multi-Hit Chance, Move Speed, Accuracy, Regeneration, Damage Tolerance.

Gladiator: Overhead Slam as the Engine

Gladiator's build is built around keeping Overhead Slam up as close to constantly as possible. Its Level 16 specialty removes its cooldown outright, and inside a Rage Burst window it becomes a skill you can fire repeatedly. Rending Blow is your main MP spender — its critical-hit specialty restores 50 MP, which is what lets the rotation sustain itself once it's online. Ruinous Blow closes distance and grants Prepare for Battle, a PvE damage buff worth keeping active at all times. Keen Strike is only there early, for MP generation before Rending Blow's crit-refund kicks in — drop it from the rotation once that's reliable. Leaping Slam and Rush Strike are your movement tools, and Defiance is a dedicated crowd-control breaker kept on its own key rather than folded into the main rotation.

Early-game macro: Rage Burst → Overhead Slam → Rending Blow → Keen Strike. Once Rending Blow is refunding MP on crit and Overhead Slam has lost its cooldown, that simplifies to Overhead Slam → Rending Blow as the core loop, with everything else layered in as it comes off cooldown.

Stats, in priority order: Might, Precision, Intelligence — add Constitution if you need more survivability than that gives you. Secondary stats worth chasing: Attack, Accuracy, Front Attack Damage Boost, Weapon Damage Boost, Combat Speed, Critical Damage Boost, PvE Damage Boost, and cooldown reduction where it's available.

The One Stigma That Changes in Dungeons

Rage Burst is the core stigma for solo and open-world play — it's what lets Overhead Slam fire without its normal trigger for a 10-second window, and it's the backbone of the rotation above. In a dungeon, though, several current Gladiator guides agree on swapping it for Zikel's Blessing instead, which boosts the party's Attack and Accuracy rather than your own burst window. The reasoning: most dungeon boss damage comes from the Stagger gauge, not raw DPS, and once a boss is staggered the priority shifts to cycling heavy crowd-control skills — Mocking Blade and Overhead Slam among them — to push more Stagger damage rather than chasing a personal damage window. It's not that Rage Burst is wrong in dungeons; it's that Zikel's Blessing serves the fight's actual win condition better once other players are in the room.

Lunge Stance (temporary Combat Speed) and Focused Block (a guaranteed Parry that can also trigger Experienced Counterstrike for the whole party) round out the Gladiator's stigma kit and stay useful in both settings.

FAQ

Is the Sorcerer build the same for PvP?
No — everything above is built specifically around sustained PvE damage against bosses and groups of enemies, including the stigma picks and stat priority. PvP tends to reward different choices, so treat this as a PvE-first setup rather than a dual-purpose one.
Why skip Ice Chain on the Sorcerer?
It's not that Ice Chain does nothing — it's that its value drops off relative to the core six skills as you level, and skill points are limited enough that investing in Ice Chain means under-investing in Hellfire, Firestorm, or Bittercold Wind instead.
Does the Gladiator need Constitution?
Only if you're finding the core Might/Precision/Intelligence priority too fragile for the content you're running — it's listed as a survivability add-on rather than a default pick, because taking it means less investment in direct damage stats.
What is the Stagger gauge, and why does it matter for the Gladiator's dungeon swap?
It's the mechanic behind why Zikel's Blessing replaces Rage Burst in dungeons specifically: most boss damage in that content comes from staggering the target and following up with crowd-control skills, not from a single player's personal burst window.
