Logitech G PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE Launches October 6 — Here's What It Actually Fixes

Logitech's flagship wireless mouse goes on sale October 6 at $199.99, and the spec sheet tackles the two complaints VoxRig raised about its predecessor: price and front-heavy weight.

Logitech's next flagship wireless mouse, the G PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE, goes on sale October 6 at $199.99. It replaces the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE at the top of Logitech's lineup and, on paper, directly addresses the two complaints that came up most often about that mouse: a steep price and a front-heavy feel in long sessions.

Logitech first showed the X3 on September 23 at its Logitech G PLAY 2026 event, where it headlined a slate of 15 new product announcements. Unlike some of those reveals, the X3 isn't a far-off teaser — it's shipping this week, listed "In stock, ready to ship" on Logitech's own store as of this writing.

What Changed From The X2

The core formula is familiar — LIGHTSPEED wireless, 8,000Hz/0.125ms polling, and Logitech's HITS (Haptic Inductive Trigger System) buttons all return unchanged from the X2. The upgrades are concentrated in four areas:

  • Sensor: 48,000 DPI, up from 44,000 DPI on the X2.
  • Battery: rated at 135+ hours, versus roughly 90 hours on the X2. Logitech lists two likely contributors: a new "NxLOGI flagship" chipset, and a 50% cut in power draw compared to the X2.
  • Weight and balance: 59g, two grams lighter than the X2, with what Logitech calls a "balanced weight distribution around center." Several independent outlets covering the launch have pointed to this as a direct response to the X2's front-loaded feel.
  • Click latency: Logitech says the HITS buttons now respond with up to 30ms less input latency than the previous generation, while keeping the same haptic-trigger design.

Wireless charging carries over too — the X3 is compatible with POWERPLAY 2, Logitech's charging mouse pad, sold separately. It ships wired (USB-C) or wireless, in two colorways: Midnight Black and Magenta Eclipse.

Why This Launch Matters For PRO X2 Owners

VoxRig reviewed and recommended the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE in our review of the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, where it scored 8.7/10 and remains the site's top pick in the gaming mouse category. The two issues flagged in that review were exactly the price tag and a front-weighted balance that some players noticed during longer sessions.

The X3 doesn't fix the price complaint outright — at $199.99 it's actually $20 more expensive than the X2, which Logitech is keeping on sale at $179.99 rather than discontinuing. What it does address is the weight distribution: a lighter shell with the mass pulled toward the center is a direct, specific response to that feedback, not a marketing claim without substance behind it. The DPI bump and near-50% drop in power consumption are real upgrades too, even if most players will never push a sensor past 44,000 DPI in practice — the battery life gain is the number that will actually be felt day to day.

For now, the X2 remains the budget-conscious option in Logitech's wireless lineup, and the X3 becomes the mouse for players who want the longest battery life and the most balanced shape Logitech has shipped in this line. Full details and current stock are available on Logitech's official product page.

What to watch next: whether the lighter, rebalanced shell changes anyone's mind who skipped the X2 over its ergonomics — VoxRig will revisit its mouse recommendations once the X3 has been out long enough to gather real owner feedback.
